Taking the first step

Our friendly front desk staff is committed to creating a welcoming environment

You’re ready to start working with your team of experts at Northwest Cardiovascular Institute. Either you’ve decided to seek care here, or your physician has referred you to us for specialized care. Where do you start?

The first step is to call and talk with our front desk staff. We have four clinics for your convenience — so you can call the clinic most convenient for you, or where you want to see a specific doctor. Our friendly, knowledgeable front desk staff will ask you for some basic information, as well as names of your other doctors. They also will mail you some paperwork (or you can download the files) that you need to complete and bring to your first appointment.

During your initial call, our front desk will set up two appointments for you:

  1. A new patient telephone interview with one of our registered nurses
  2. Your actual doctor’s appointment

After that, we’ll set up a new medical record for you with the information we’ve collected.  We’ll also contact your other doctors to get a copy of your previous medical information, which will be scanned into our electronic medical records system and added to your medical record with Northwest Cardiovascular Institute.
